The Greenest Program

Nest introduces its GREE-NEST PROGRAM. This program serves to turn not only our school GREEN but also inculcate in each student the need to help our planet Earth. In the process of turning GREEN, we are also helping our school! How?
The school will get treasure from your trash! Nest is raising funds to improve our library facilities. For everything you do to help us save Planet Earth and help us build our library, your child’s class will earn corresponding points.
Nest will collect recyclable materials every Friday starting next week. Since November 30 is a holiday, our first collection will be on Thursday, November 29. This chart may help you. For every kilo of recyclables that you bring, your child’s class will earn points.
What are other ways to earn points for your class? You may volunteer your time! If you are able to speak in class, help out in preparations, help out in actual programs and classes and provide transportation for any class activity, your child’s class will earn points.

To help the cause, Nest has produced the GREENEST BAG. It is a 16×14 canvas bag that you may bring around with you when you shop to avoid using plastic bags. Every time you use our canvas bag for shopping, you save the Planet Earth 500 plastic bags, every one of which will only degrade in 1,000 years!! Each bag costs PhP150.00. Every bag sold by the class will earn them points.

Your child will learn how to save our planet by having segregating the trash in class. We would like to remind you that your child’s juice or water should be in a container to reduce trash. His/Her snacks should also be in a container. Any wrapper or juice box will be returned in your child’s snack box.
The winning class will get book prizes. All the proceeds of this project will go to the renovation of our library. The accumulated funds will be posted every week at the school and at our website www.nest.ph. There will be a chart visible to all specially the children so they can see if their class is winning the race to a book extravaganza for their class!
Let’s help each other in saving Planet Earth and building Nest’s library!
