Yaya Seminar 2008
On September 27 (Saturday), Nest will have its Yaya Seminar and it will focus on the following topics:
1. Basic First Aid and Life Saving by the Philippine National Red Cross
2. Protecting Homes from Crime by the Crime Prevention & Coordination Service of NAPOLCOM
3. Bukod sa TV (activities the yayas can do with the children at home)
The participating yayas should bring their own snacks. We will be providing hand-outs and certificates for the participants. Please contact 434-7601.

People Media in Teaching
On September 2, 2008, Teacher Tina Zamora was invited by Mommy Grace Dousel to speak at the UP Benitez Hall for a People Media in Teaching talk. It’s main thrust is on how to use people to express or sell ideas in teaching. Teacher Tina presented Parents as Classroom Resources, showing the importance of having parents involved in the classroom by being resource persons — a storyteller, a teacher assistant, or someone who can talk about their line of work. The talk was under EdTech 201 through the supervision of Professor Que. Another talk is slated on September 9 at 6:00 p.m.
