Philosophy

Nest believes that each child is a unique individual who has basic spiritual, emotional, intellectual, physical and creative needs. The child has limitless potential to be fulfilled and depends but not exists on the guidance of a responsible and caring adult. He is an active and curious learner so he learns by exploring his environment and experiencing all that his environment has to offer. He is innately simple and in this simplicity, his creativity grows through his imagination. The child needs clear boundaries in order to learn right from wrong. His words or language should also always be listened to.

For these reasons, the Nest teachers believe that they should love and care for the child like a surrogate parent. The teacher is a model of good, moral and ethical values. They are the parents’ partner in helping the child fulfill his ultimate potential. The teachers are the child’s partner in discovery and exploration. The child’s views and ideas would always be acknowledged and respected by his teachers. The teachers invoke simplicity and allow the child’s imagination to view these simple materials and make his own interpretation to develop his creativity. The teachers would provide a progressive curriculum that will enhance the child’s holistic development. The teachers see all children equally yet uniquely. They would respect the individual traits of children and have no prejudice on appearance, beliefs and creeds.

Nest would provide a safe, loving and stimulating environment for the child through its different learning areas. It would be a haven for the child’s emotional needs in the absence of his parents. The school would be a place for fun, learning and friendships for children and teachers alike.
