“The Doctor is in!” in the Blue Jays AM classroom last July 20, 2010.
A hospital is definitely considered as one of the places found in one’s neighborhood. But instead of going to a hospital, the hospital was the one who came to us through the person of Doctor Mommy Mariz Nualla! She is an obstetrician-gynecologist at FEU-NRMF in Fairview.
During her visit, she told us what doctors do in the hospital and she gladly showed us the different tools found in a doctor’s kit. She was so nice that she even let us try to use some of her things such as the face mask, the hair cap, the flashlight, the thermometer, the tool to monitor one’s blood pressure, the tongue depressor, and one of our favorites — the stethoscope!
We got inspired and had so much fun during Mommy Mariz’ visit that we even made our own doctor’s kit the next day!

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you Doctor Mommy Mariz for giving us your time and sharing with us your knowledge even if you are a one busy doctor.

Well, we admit that some of us are still afraid of injections (hindi siya parang kagat lang ng langgam!), but we are definitely not scared of doctors anymore!
