Changes in the October schedule due to Class Suspension
We wish you all health and safety, dear Nest parents.
The following changes have been made to the Nest Calendar due to the suspension of classes because of Storm Ondoy.
Grade School Exams slated for October 8 and 9 are moved to October 15 and 16 (October 8 schedules will be followed for the 15th and the October 9 schedules will be followed for the 16th). There are topics that will be removed from the Pointers for Review and will be carried over to the 3rd Quarter. The details of which will be given on Monday, October 5.
The Preschool Assessments will push through during the week of October 19. Your child’s schedules will be given by next week. For new Nest parents, the assessment is a 30-minute one-on-one with the teacher. Preschool Parent-Teacher Conferences will be from October 22-24. Watch out for individual schedules.
The Masquerade Day scheduled on October 16 is CANCELLED. This is to give way for a relief effort for the victims of Ondoy. The usual loot bag donations that we ask for the Masquerade Day will be given to a chosen evacuation center. Hopefully, we can prepare a program for the center wherein the students will be involved.

Bagyong Ondoy
To the whole Nest Family,
We pray that you are safe after the onslaught of Storm Ondoy. Nest is open for relief goods to be distributed first to the Nest families that were affected by the storm specially the yayas and drivers whose own houses were under water and mud.
We ask for your assistance to bring clothes, blankets, ready-to-eat or canned goods, soap, slippers to the school so we can repack them and give them to our affected kababayans.
If you wish to send your prayer requests, please do so. Currently, we are praying for the Hizon family who lives in Marikina and the Soliman family driver, Kuya Lito, whose house is submerged in water in Mandaluyong and whose kids have no piece of clothing that was saved. We thank the Lord that the school was not affected by the rain. The water only reached the front door of the building and did not enter any of the 1st floor classrooms and caretakers rooms.

SpEd Parent Interaction
The first SpEd Parent Interaction for the school year will be on July 18, 2009 (Saturday) from 9 to 11 am at Nest. Entitled “Anong SPED-trum ka ba?”, the interaction aims to discuss details on the SpEd students’ special needs. Dr. Mich Caruncho-Baloca, a Developmental Pediatrician, will be our guest. Mommy Ging Gutierrez, Matt’s mom, will give her testimony. Admission is free and all parents are welcome to join. Please register with Teacher Dongdong or Teacher Ku at 434-7601.
Preschool Curriculum Presentation
The preschool department will have its Curriculum Presentation on Saturday, June 27. The schedule is as follows:
Morning Classes (Sparrows/Mockingbirds, Vertical and Blue Jays) : 9:00 – 10:00 a.m.
Afternoon Classes (Robins and Cardinals) : 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.
